Here's the link to the first of several newsletters that will be put together by Paul Rich in the build up to the event: https://scale.bmfa.org/wp-content/uploads/Indoor-Scale-Nationals-Newsletter-January-2026-version-1.pdf

Entries have started coming in, and my spreadsheet is filling up fast, so thanks to all who've got theirs in already. Although it's slightly daunting taking over Mike Stuart's role it's also nice for me to be able to see in advance who's entering what.
Kit Scale is already the most popular FF class, closely followed by Peanut. Pistachio meanwhile has... erm... plenty of space still!

No nuts for me this year though: Open Rubber, Intermediate and Kit Scale will do nicely.
While I'm here, if anyone's got a Nats build underway feel free to send me a pic and some deets for inclusion in my AeroModeller column.
And if people have any queries regarding entering or the rules I'm happy to answer if I can, either here or by email.
Pete

Already discussed with George about myself participating (promise not to bring either the BD4 or Pawnee.... ;D  ;D  ;D ), but if I make it to come, it might be at a very last moment.

If I recall, there is a limit on the participations. Is this correct?

Hi Spiros,
Really hope you can come! The official closing date for entries is 13th April but it's possible that if we get too many then we might have to close it before that. It's never happened before, but if we get more than 40 participants (we had about 35 last year) it would become very difficult to fit the contest flights into the time available.

Thank you Peter.

I really hope I can make it.

But even if the decision is made on the very last moment and no more entries are possible, I will come as a spectator.

PLEASE NOTE THAT THE FF KIT SCALE CLASS AT THE UPCOMING UK INDOOR NATS IS NOW FULL. This is due to the numbers in that class reaching what is possible in terms of time, both for the flying rounds and the static judging. Below is the message that is now on the BMFA Scale Tech Committee webpage. There is still space in the other classes, and still time to enter. Thank you all who've entered already and my heartfelt apologies to anyone who's disappointed by this message.
Pete
-----------
Update on 25th March 2026 – The Scale Indoor Nationals Organising Team have had to make the unprecedented decision to close entries for the FFX4 Scale Indoor Free Flight Kit Scale Class due to reaching the maximum number of entries we can cater for on Sunday 26th April.
The Organising Team apologise to anyone who had not yet entered the class and intended to do so.
If you would like to be placed on our reserve list should any competitors drop out please register your interest at enquiriesbmfascale@yahoo.com

I think we have to classify that as good news and perfect justification, if any were needed, for the introduction of KS.  Any idea of entry levels for the other classes?

So far... 29 in Kit Scale, 15 in Intermediate, 13 in Open Rubber, 6 in CO2/Electric, 20 in Peanut, 9 in Pistachio, 11 in Nocal.
Looking quite busy then! KS aside, entry form is supposedly open for a couple more weeks, but the limits will ultimately be set by what our judges can realistically do in the time, hopefully without killing them. I gather there are
usually a few last minute dropouts though, as some models might not be ready in time.

Remembering the cheek by jowl arrangements on the Sunday last year would it be worth UK based participants bringing tables with them just in case there's not enough tables to go round?

Thanks, Lurk. Great minds think alike, and Peter Brown's already kindly offered to bring spares. Tables is on the discussion list and I'll see what the team say about the need for others to bring them too. I'll be sending out more info soon, once the entry deadline passes.
