The «Parasol»
After building and flying several scale models such as the Airco DH-4, EKW C-3603, MS-3801, and Aeronca Champion, I wanted to build a sport model of the 1930s. I came across Jimmie Allen's models, which don't look like a fishing rod with wings. They have a certain resemblance to man-carrying airplanes and fly very well. The "Skokie", for example, is also a successful competition model. So I decided on the B-A Parasol with a wingspan of 28 inches.
There is a kit from "Easy Built models". All the necessary materials, including propeller and rubber, are included. The construction of the model is classic, as is the case with models from the 1930s. I don't want to go into the entire construction here, but simply show with a few pictures, how the model was built.

Chris, the finishes on your models are just spectacular. I've admired them on Rubberfly's videos, nice to be able to examine them more closely in your threads here. Thanks for posting them.

Using a continuous strip and the sheet sections is an interesting method for wing tips Chris. It looks much stronger than just using sections of sheet.
