Title: Propeller aircraft of the Swiss Air Force as rubber motor models
Post by: ZIP.58 on Jan 13, 2026, 09:43 PM
My model fleet includes several propeller types used by the Swiss Air Force. With the exception of the D-3800 Morane, the models are based on kits that have been optimized in terms of scale. And—they all fly and are flown.
The D-3800/01 was designed and built together with Chris, and we also built the EKW C-3603 in parallel.

EKW C-3603: Short kit from Volare, but massively upgraded to scale.

Morane D-3800: Own design, together with Chris. The D-3800 differs from the D-3801 in its exhaust system and oil cooler. The original D-3801 had a more powerful engine, which required modifications to the exhaust and cooler.

Messerschmitt Me-109E3: A VMC kit from England in the colors of the "Schweizer Fliegertruppe," as the Swiss Air Force was called during World War II.

All three together

Excellent fleet, Peter!

One of my favorite aircraft of WWII (and there are not many) is the Me 108. There is no way I would be doing that in german colors but the swiss livery is most attractive. For the next 5-year plan...
