The P-30 event was developed by the San Diego Orbiteers free flight club in the USA in the late 1970's and is popular world-wide. During the COVID pandemic I designed my simple Three Nite P-30 for beginners, with its unique feature being a flat wing with tip plates. Despite it's simple stick and tissue construction, I have won contests with my design against very experienced P-30 fliers. A laser-cut short kit for my Three Nite P-30 is available for purchase here from Volare Products:

Detailed written building and trimming instructions for the Volare Products kit can be downloaded using the DOWNLOAD link posted in the product description. I posted twelve (12) videos on YouTube that provide detailed explanations for any area where the builder may need additional instruction. Here is a link to Part No. 1:

I have no financial interest in the marketing of the Volare Products kit. My goal in making a commercial kit for my Three Nite P-30 available was to encourage people to enter the outdoor free flight hobby. This goal has been achieved by providing an inexpensive, easy-to-build, and easy to trim stick and tissue model that flies well. There are several videos of flights of this model which can be found on YouTube by searching "calgoddard P-30 Washoe Lake". Here is a link to one example:

The flight videos were taken with a cell phone camera so unfortunately much of the time the model is too high to be seen, but at least you can view the launches.
