Title: How to register
Post by: billdennis747 on Jan 19, 2026, 10:32 AM
I have been asked by Glen Grell, who is running the Coupe Postal, how he joins the site. I can't see anything, but I didn't need to because somehow I was transferred across to the new site, along with most others, but not Glenn. Where is the magic button that I'm not seeing?

Hi Bill,

you were not transferred. You signed up youself.

At the very beginning there were no security questions, so I imagine you might only have had to give your email and password. Perhaps that is why you do not remember it.

Stephen is quite right, when someone is not a member or not yet logged-in, the blue rectangles appear on the top left corner, to either log-in or sign-up (register).

They also appear on the left menu, see arrows. If you move the mouse over the words they highlight.

When you are already logged-in you do not see these options any more, naturally...

George

PS. I hope there was no confusion between "register" and "sign-up".  I refer to it as registering, the forum as signing-up.

I will modify the relevant posts just in case...

HOW TO REGISTER

Mon Jan 19 2026

This is how you know you are logged in.    I had trouble realizing this.

At the top of the page,  now,  are three things  ...
1  user name  2 my messages and 3 alerts

Click on the down arrow by your user name,  and a menu pops up,   with seven thumbnails and words.   The last thumbnail  shows a key,  and the words  "Log out".    This means that you are already logged in.     Click the "log out"  to actually log out.

Pic #1     This is how I know that I am logged in

Let me know if this is not correct.
