I stumbled across the new site when I looked at the old site which gave a URL to this one. I felt lost without HPA and S&T to peruse.
My name is Ian. I live in a little town called Youbou (which is infested with elk) on Vancouver Island on the west coast of British Columbia. I mostly build peanuts, like the Goblin which I designed as a 'flying wing'. I am currently working on a Joe Ott Kingfisher (at 75%, giving a W/S of 20 1/4") out of alternate materials. The main structure is dollar store posterboard with thin cardboard formers and bamboo stringers. The fuselage is 6.5 grams and 14" in length.
History: My father introduced me to modelling before I was 10, and I grew up building Guillows kits and flying them C/L with Cox .049's. I am now in my 70's having been retired from Forestry Research since 2010. Last year I went over to the dark side when my wife bought me a 16" W/S 4 channel RTF mustang. I don't fly it that often since it requires calm conditions for me. I still have unfinished plans for other planes that I intend to get back to some day.
Other interests: My wife is disabled, so I clean and cook everything at home and do a lot of gluten-free desserts; mostly for after church coffee gatherings. I am working on a 5 volume set of Chronological Bile Commentaries that explain Scripture from the time of Samuel to the end of the Old Testament. I am in the process of revising the second volume at the moment.

Same here. Except my link came from Cox Engines website. Wow! How lucky can one get?
You have some very nice projects going on. I have a few restorations going on and hope to post here when its available and possible.

Hi Ian. That's an interesting background. Glad you found your way here - despite the Elk :).

Thanks for the comments. I am slowly working on my 'paper' airplane and I have finished the tail feathers. I am working on the wings and how they will attach to the fuselage.
