Hi,
I've just rejoined the (new) Hip Pocket forum. Look forward to dipping in from time to time.
I enjoy most forms of aeromodelling but especially quirky free flight models.
Had a fine day today with a sociable visit from Squirrelnet, for a chat regarding some original Vic Smeed models and plans.
Welcome.
Have you checked out the Baxter, by Tom Akery, on Outerzone? A bit of a challenge, and I'm not sure how many people would recognize it these days, 59 years after the original.
I suppose you've looked at the Roy Clough designs on Outerzone. If not, you should. His Hoopskirt and Martian Space Ship appeal to me.
I've seen footage of liitle engines with a rag attached to the back instead of an airframe. Straight up and straight down.
Welcome Charlie. Chris did mention that meeting - I bet the time just flew(excuse the pun) :)

Hi, thanks, I looked up the Baxter. I knew of it from the album cover but always thought it a bit too ambitious for a convincing flying model. But I like the 'Airplane's music.
Yes I'm familiar with Roy Clough's remarkable designs, what a genius.
