Title: Boeing L-15 Scout, profile model
Post by: 9600baud on Jun 12, 2026, 05:28 PM
Hi all,

here is my Boeing L-15 Scout.

It took me a while to get it to cooperate.

First the glide without power was fine but under power it stalled right away.
I then installed more down thrust. That made it better but wasn't enough.
So I made the airfoil less pronounced. That cured the stalling but it started "dutch rolling".
Next I enlarged the horizontal and vertical stabilizer. That did the trick but it also required a bit more nose weight. In the hindsight, maybe the nose weight alone would have been sufficient.

Anyway, now it flies :)
The right-left pattern was not intended :D

Cheers
Alex
