The Mk3, or to give it its full name, Mini Roadrunner Mk3, is my development of a model designed in the mid 60s for the then new 2.5cc combat class.
It took its design cues from the Open combat model Roadrunner.
The initial flights showed it to be less responsive than I'd have liked it to be. So now after several operations to "improve" the controls I've come to teh conclusion that it will never be the model I hoped it to be.
So sadly this will now be a hangar queen, unless I run out of projects... very unlikely.
Pity really I love the look and had high hope for it.

That's a pity Greg - lack of tail area perhaps as it's a very short tail moment?

Thats too bad. I would have thought that the flaps moving in opposite direction of the elevator would have tightened those loops. Perhaps the flap area is not large enough.
