This thread covers experiments in covering blue foam to provide a resiliant, smooth surface. Painting straight onto foam is standard practice in the Uk and is the lightest option. But it lacks the hard looking surface to represent metal skins and is easily damaged.

As you may know I use a Cricut Maker for cutting out parts. The Maker will also use pens to write. I am going to try to use it to do panel lines on some silver tissue. If it works it would be waterproof unlike printing which is how I did it before. I just didn't want to buy a new Epson printer...

I have been sharpening my Fusion 360 skills so I can make a plug for vacuum forming a Super Chipmunk canopy. Fairly decent learning curve but the skills I learned will allow me to make just about any canopy
