Here is a tutorial on propeller carving written by Wout Moerman.

From 2011, so probably from Small Flying Arts, dealing with the carving of balsa flying propellers.

And another one I did, back in 2010, where I showed the steps to make a dummy propeller for my Airco de Havilland 9, out of basswood. Part of my build thread back then in SFA.

It can be applied for flying props as well, for example for CO2 motors.
