Just out of interest.  What weight is your Ryan and what motor do you use outdoors?

great planes both of them..my Ryan M-1 is heavy..weights 44 grams..it was my first kit after years and my first model with shrinking dope..so i wasnt so carefull...but it flies..i started with 3,8 rubber..and after some low trimming flights i used 4mm rubber.
Iam learning slowly..the world of free flight is wonderfull!

I was lucky with mine at least as far as timing. A couple of the blokes at Trinity had built the kit before me, so I knew before I started on mine that it needed to go on a strict diet!  Mine's flying at a fraction under 34g but it too needs a loop of 0.16" (4mm).
