Oxford Model Flying Club    Free Flight Scale Fun-Fly In Contest

Hi Chris and Bill.   That  Free Flight Fun-Fly looks like such a good time.    And that is such a fine looking biplane trophy (I had to post the pic again) !    I'm looking forward to the tow line high start glider flight videos,  and the rest of course.    Thanks in advance for posting.   Long live  'the Core'.    :)

Thanks Richard the trophy is a lovely thing and it was good enjoyable event I think ...well hope

Well as part of the organising team I would say it was good wouldn't I but I think it is safe to say went down well with the competitors and flyers ;D

Bill Dennis did an excellent job judging the flying only and despite some sometimes breezy conditions the standard of flying remained high. We were even blessed with a calm spell around 12pm which many took advantage of for the other classes.

Top quality quarter grain balsa for Roger(Dusty) Gibbs went down very as prizes along with the usual wine and beer and certain Mr Stuart went home heavily laden with both, well done Mike. Well done as well to Ivan for winning (again) the Flying only with his amazing TSR2 electric ducted fan model and Bill Dennis for winning the Scale Glider and Mike Stuart the Scale Rubber Duration. FROG Senior was also won by Mike Stuart

I don't need an excuse to post a picture of Pete's wonerful Bleriot XI so here it is again enjoying the open space of the meadow

I have some pics and a video , thanks to extra filming from Pete Fardell which I'll post later

Pete Fardell

Yes, a really good day on the Meadow again. Big thanks to Chris, Bill and all involved in organising the day.
(Even the horses seemed quite keen to join in!)

Glad you had a good time and congrats on your two second places in Flying Only and Rubber Scale Duration

Ivan Taylor brought a trio of jets, The TSR2 won the John Blagg Trophy making that a hat trick for Ivan

Not sure if I would ever dare to fly in such windy conditions.

Such a beautiful event!!
