Yes, Pete's report is excellent. I could picture myself being there.
As for ten pages on AI, telling me that if the tail is heavy, I may need nose ballast, not so much.

The January issue arrived on my doormat in The Netherlands today! And in January! Things are looking up. However, I was allowed a peek of Pete Fardell's report in the IIFI in the February issue, so I am already impatient for the next one!

TheLurker

That's promising.  No sign of the January issue here, but that's probably down to Royal Mail's increasing inability to deliver anything in a timely fashion.

Please don't presume Post.nl is any better! It must be a  fluke...

Mine came today.

The February Aeromodeller arrived on my doorstep here in the Netherlands today. In comparison with the January issue it is a week earlier. They are catching up. Nice report on the 2025 IIFI!

TheLurker

Likewise.  IIFI report was good, nicely done Mr. Fardell.

I received my February edition of Aeromodeller today. I haven't had a chance to do more than flick through it, but am looking forward to a proper read. I am a little concerned that there are only 50 pages, compared to the usual 66. Power Trip Maris isn't there this issue, and I always enjoy his stuff, but then everyone deserves a break. Perhaps more of an issue for Aeromodeller is that the DeLuxe Materials advertisements seem to have gone walkabout, and haven't been seen for some time. Tonight, I shall put Richard Osman down and console myself with Pete Fardell.

Colin mentioned the page reduction in passing in an e-mail in early Jan. From what I remember, message deleted weeks ago so can't check, it's partly due to the increases in Royal Mail's delivery charges.

Is there any hint as to when the March issue might appear?

Pete Fardell

I noticed a few copies of the Feb AM in my local WHSmith/TGJones the other day, which is good as I think some stores were becoming reluctant to stock it after all the delays.
And thanks for the nice comments re my IIFI report. Much appreciated!

Stunthenk

Don't mention it. I am already looking forward to your report om the 2026 IIFI event! Seriously, though, does anyone share my assumption that Aeromodeller is currently lacking copy?

billdennis747

Of course it is and has been for a long time. That's how we get stuff like the AI article.

dputt7

I had to quit my Subscription, too much money to risk with the uncertainty of publishing. :(

You are going to be even less pleased if Colin is forced to use the fluff I sent him in response to his January plea for copy. Please accept my apologies in advance. :)

Not just your opinion, Colin was so short of material for upcoming issues he sent an e-mail to previous contributors (as noted above) in January to drum up copy.  On which... your FK-43.  Have you got a plan for your 20" version?  If you have, have you considered submitting it for use as a free plan to AM? Colin would be very pleased to have something that good to publish. All that's needed is the plan, a few snaps of work in progress if you have them, a couple of rollout pics and some of it in flight together with a few notes on construction. Ideally the plan needs to occupy no more that two sheets of A3, but there's always a bit of wriggle room.
