The drive is a "Graupner Speed 400 Directdrive" electric motor with a permanently mounted controller. This was screwed directly onto the motor mounts for the diesel engine using the metal shells supplied.
No major modifications were necessary; only two frames in the area of the RC system were provided with recesses and the rear ones with holes for the Bowden cable tubes.
Otherwise, the model was built according to the instructions in the book.
