Hi Comrades and amigos saints and sinners:
I cant remember where I got this plan, but it was weird enough to get my attention. The Noctule, which is Bat in French. It was fun to build and I was comptemplating placing Count Orlock of Nosferatu fame in the cockpit. But the thing is, the more extra stuff I put on a model the dopier it makes me look when it crashes. Many a hot chick has walked by and uttered "neat" after an overgarnished model of mine launched into a cartwheel and amputated its own wing.
The name on the plan is Peter Fisher but I have seen other versions by other guys. It reminds me of one of the wacky things Ray Malmstrom designed. I had to extend the rudder, and use a single bladed prop to get it willing to fly. It does a fairly attractive circuit at about 15 ft off the ground, but unless you tune in to this thing and get intimate its not gonna do much for you. So now on still Florida nights I will go out front and coax this Vampire replica into a few circuits, and hope the bats don't mate with it
