Piper Pacer profile model

Hi all,

I thought I'll try an RC model for a change.
It must be a model that could fly very slow because I haven't flown any RC models. So I chose the Piper Pacer No-Cal version and converted it to RC.

It's heavy (24.9 g) compared to an actual No-Cal, but light enough to go really slow.

It uses a brushed and geared 615 motor. The gears make it really screaming, which is a bit annoying. The 100 ma/h battery lasts at least for 10 minutes.

Overall I'm quite happy, how it worked out. Here is a video of the second attempt. In the first I broke the landing gear, so that had to be rebuilt.

Thanks John, yes, I'm happy to have found a club nearby with that gym.
Sometimes I want a higher ceiling, that would be perfect for the free flight models

Thanks Konrad, yes I think it's the same "brick". This is the second one I have. The first one has one disfunct channel after I tried to "repair" it. This one seems to work quite well.
For binding I had to update me transmitter to the latest edge-tx version.
After looking at my videos I saw, that I was almost exclusively flying left turns. I hadn't realised that while flying

In the video it's already dimmed down. In reality it's quite loud. I wonder what's special about the Night Vapor, which has a 4mm brushed motor and is almost not hearable if at a couple meters away. Maybe the fuselage resonates and amplifies it?
Maybe next time a direct drive even if it is less efficient.
