Morning John,

The plan is to cover the nose with aluminium leaf and 'twizzle' it to get an engine turned effect so the name will have to be applied as separate letters; either tissue or paint/ink.

However it happens it's going to be a slow old job with lots, oooh lots and lots, of room for making a mess of it. :)

That was a massive oversight on my part ;D  Engine turning printed on silver coloured tissue ?

Hmm! I guess it would not do the model justice!

Finally able to get some work done this weekend.

One wing, waiting shaped tips, & a new outline for the, now, slightly enlarged tail-plane.

The new tail outline needs at least another couple of days to set properly, but hope to make a start on the fin & rudder tomorrow.

On to the fin & rudder.  Lot of hurry up & wait in this hobby; this is a couple of evenings effort.

1 - Glue the rudder post & rudder LE at the desired separation.
2 - Lift off the board & insert hinges.
3 - Pin down & build the rest, slowly. :)
4 - And we're done.

Compact wee beastie isn't it?  Outline is 1/20 x 1/32 basswood the remainder is some delightful stiff 5 lb/cu.ft 1/20" stock I got from Dusty Millar a few months ago.

Next little bit.  The tail-plane.  More pins Igor!

Also made a start on the spinner/prop.  Probably have yoghurt pot blades.  Got to find a yoghurt pot though...

The Al tube is cyano-ed to the ply disk just to keep it aligned while the balsa discs are fitted.  The first couple of balsa disks are fixed with epoxy to ensure a solid fixing to the Al tube. The remainder have been fixed with PVA.  If time allows I'll shape it tomorrow,
