Oxford MFC/BMFA Credgington Trophy FF Scale

The clubs BMFA Scale Competition is ON for Saturday(1st August) on Port Meadow with a 9.30 start.  Full details on the link below:-

As well as the scale competition there will be general free flight sport flying and also a Cloud Tramp mass launch so if you have a Cloud Tramp, bring it along. Mass launch at 12:00pm

  Spectators are welcome so if you have never seen free flight and in particular scale free flight then it is well worth seeing.
 
A couple of notes:-
 
It looks to be a bit cooler than of late which is good news but please come with suitable clothing(that includes a sunhat!), lots of sunblock and lots of water.  If you are heading off on a long retrieve, let someone know where you are off to and when you are back.

The Credgington went very today with 12 entries in the main BMFA event organised and judged in a lovely relaxed manner by Mike and Phil Smith. The event was warmer and slightly windier than forecast but I think we all had a good time. The heat and associated thermal created some difficult conditions for our flying realism based competition.

Congratulations to the winner of the wonderful Credgington Trophy... none other than our own Mr Peter Fardell with his fine flying Stinson Sentinel ( now sponsored by Locktite ;-) )

Second was another HPA parishioner Bill Dennis with his Stinson while joint third were Mike Stuart with his DH Fox Moth and me with my Cessna 170
