Dear all.
Maybe a computer wizard can advise. I need to make a decal for the vertical registration on the rudder of a Fairchild 24 (I don't know how to add a photo). I've got the correct font and can type it out using a new line for each letter, but the line spacing is far too much. Is there a way to reduce it to what I guess is horizontal standard letter spacing?

Bill,

If you're using something like MS Word you should be able to adjust line / paragraph spacing.  Somewhere under a Format menu/option.

The screen shot is from Libre Office Writer, but, if you can find it, MS Word really should have something similar.

An alternative would be to download Inkscape (which is free) or a.n.other simple drawing package.  Such a tool will let you place individual letters and numbers exactly where you want them and at exactly the right size for your model.

If you can't be bothered let me know what you need and I'll have a go in Inkscape for you.

Thanks Lurk. I can't find a way to do it on Word but if you are adept at this Inkscape thing, I'd be very grateful if you could have a go. I need your mail to send the picture
