JOD's Better series

In the early issues of the relaunched AeroModeller, John O'Donnell (assisted on occasions by Dave Hipperson) wrote about 30 articles on various FF matters. 

He started off doing a two-part article on Better Propellers and that expanded to about 5 articles.  The series continued as he then looked at rubber, model care, trimming rubber models and gliders (DH did two on trimming power models), warps (3 articles), workmanship, airfoils, Jetex, habits, durability and preparation (including 2 articles by DH). 

The series finished in 2017, just before John's death.

In the old days, series like this would be republished by AM as a book - that's how the Design for Aeromodellers and Construction for Aeromodellers came into being as well as several others.  I thought this was a good idea so I have created my own pdf version of all the articles, printed them out and bound them up so I can read the lot straight through.  It makes a book of about 125 pages.

I suspect that the copyright in these articles is owned by Doolittle as publisher (magazine publishers typically slip that into the terms of the arrangement by which articles are published), rather than with JOD's estate.  A personal study copy such as I have created should not be a problem.

I'm happy to ask the editor of AM whether I can put this collection up on our Plans Gallery so it is available to genuinely interested aeromodellers.  But before I do that, I'd like to get feedback as to whether the current members of HPA are interested in this kind of collection being available to them.

 Yes I would be very interested in the collected works of J'OD. It is no doubt a great resource and worth making available if possible

If permission isn't forthcoming I wonder if Doolittle would consider providing/could be persuaded to provide the material as a reprint
