Although this model is not as sleek looking as the original Sleek Streak, you can make 3 sets of wing panels with one sheet of 1/32" by 2" by 36" balsa wood.
The plastic wing joiner is available from Volare Products. If you cut out all the parts as a kit, you can build this model in under an hour.
You can slightly warp the rudder's trailing edge and bend the nylon plastic prop nose bearing to provide the desired turn radius. You may also need to warp the outboard portion of the inside wing's trailing edge down to keep the model from spiral diving in the turn. |
