This is a simple indoor model with landing gear designed and kitted by JASCO (Junior Aeronautical Supply Company) sometime in the 1950s before JASCO became JETCO.
You may recognize similarities between this model and the Rogue R.O.G. kitted by Midwest Products Company many years later.
I used a laminated "fan" propeller made from 1/16" by 1/4" balsa sticks in lieu of a plastic prop.
I recommend making the motor stick from 3/32" thick basswood instead of the hard balsa called out on the drawing to prevent the wire wing clips from gouging the wood. |
