Rubber stripper

I like the idea of leaving the Harlan stripper at home and using a less expensive one at the field. Ray included a little sharpening stone with his stripper.

 Any idea what the Brown stripper costs? BTW, if the brand is Acme, the logo should include a picture of a sliced coyote.

I'm thinking that a rubber stripper that uses a double edged razor blade should probably use one of those blue blades. When used in a balsa stripper, they stay sharp longer. I think modern carbon steel blades may be the same thing. Of course, these blades can rust. I have used blue blades snapped in half to cut very soft balsa. You can now buy so called half DE blades that don't require snapping, but I don't know if any of them are carbon steel. There are on-line stores that specialize in fancy razor blades, though they aren't all THAT expensive.
