Having participated for the first time in IIFI 2025 and although my participation was less than the rookie's standards, I was so thrilled, that coming back in Greece I decided to prepare two for next year. The best one of the two, will win a ticket to Holland.

Already finished the Fuselage and tail (having changed a few balsa strips here and there), and now it's time for the wing.

The pictures make the kit supplied wood look quite hard/dense.  Is it?
Ένας χωρίς μια ιδέα ή, αν προτιμάτε, clueless  :)

I think it is the picture is self. They are good and some dark coloring is from the laser cut. I have already sanded a bit and obviously more before covering. No complaints so far.

Will try to make a couple of more detailed pics and post.

Spiros

Not sure if these pics are any better (color and brightness), but so far had no issues with the supplied wood....

Spiros

With the right panel ready and partially sanded, it ended up on a weight of 1,7gr.

So far, the Fuselage is 3,5gr, both rudder & stab 0,8gr.

I hope the overall weight ends up below 10gr (before covering, prop etc)

Spiros

So...... all in all and before final sanding, it ended up in 7.7gr below my target of maximum 10gr.

I hope I will have an overall weight of approx 15gr.

Awesome my friend, awesome 👏

Haven't had the time in between the building of the model and all the rest going around, but in the meatime, Citabria is finished and most probably on Sunday will have the first test flight.

Some data concerning the weight: Overall without rubber 20,4gr. The wing load is 7,3gr/dm2, which is good.

Can't wait to give her a try!!

Spiros, great looking Citabria.

The Dumas Citabria was my very first built rubber powered airplane.
Yours is looking much nicer than mine...
I am sure that she also flies much better than mine ;)
I can't blame the kit, it was my lack of knowledge and building skills...

I hope you had some nice flights with her in the meantime?
