The Dec issue dropped through my letterbox today so they are slowly catching up again and great to see Charlie Jeffrey's Shove Ha'penny on the front with free plan

TheLurker

Mine turned up too.  Not sure that 7+ weeks late is, "catching up", but it was still very good to see it and, as far as I'm concerned, a quick scan shows the content is well up to the mark.  Cup of good coffee and some posh biscuits required I think.

Well catching up in that it's December's mag in January rather than September's mag in November, or was it August's Mag in October...anyway back to ONE month behind

TheLurker

Err, no.
December issue should have hit the doormats somewhere round the middle of November which is about 7 odd weeks ago.

How many days is that?  ::)

TheLurker

Dunno, I've run out of fingers & toes. :)

I hate to say this but I got my son's old iPad and subscribed to the electronic version.

Nothing compares to the printed version but it helps having it on time.

Andy Sephton

I too have gone for the electronic version. I made the decision about 10 years ago as my AeroModeller library was causing the house to tilt!

I run most of my personal admin electronically, so having an electronic mag is no big issue. I've found the main advantage is that I have 10 years of AeroModeller to hand on my phone or laptop; all I need is an internet connection. Hard copy of selected pages/plans is just a matter of sending the relevant pages to a printer.

The December issue arrived here in the Netherlands today. Another nice one, happily with less RC than others. I can recommend reading Pete Fardells FF Scale column, especially page 61! (Ahem...)

Why Henk? What is so special on the bottom of page 61?  ;D  ;D  ;D

In the meantime we are eagerly awaiting the electronic version of February, which should feature a report on a well known event that took place in your country two months ago...

Henk,

When are you going to draw up a Peanut plan of the FK43 for those of us condemned to fly in tight circles in tiny halls?  :)

Cheers,
Lurk

I did have the 3-view of the FK 43 enlarged to 13 inches, so I am tempted... Even though my peanut models so far have loved flying in larger circles in larger halls..  I still have to teach them frugality.

It is indeed a very long time difference.

The electronic February issue is available as of today and the printed issues will be delivered in 7 or 8 weeks, if I understand it correctly.

I agree, a paper issue has many merrits. But as Andy S correctly pointed out, so does the electronic issue.

One thing I realised a vew years ago, when the volume of magazines in my collection eventually got too big to control. I started taking out all the important and relevant articles to my interests, in order to save space and archive them in an easier and more practical way.

Anyway, anyone does as it suis him best of course.

And on the subject of the specific issue, a wonderful, as usual, 10 page coverage of the IIFI event by Pete Fardell.

Waiting for Mike's report in ffscale.co.uk too, hopefully soon.
