I built the smaller FK 43 using pencil sketches made from the enlarged three view. I could draw a proper plan, if I could find the time. I used to draw plans of C/L models in ink on transparent paper, none of that fancy computer stuff. Text and pictures would be no problem.

I think that'd be fine and I know there are one or two AM readers who'd be very happy to see a proper, old-fashioned hand drawn plan instead of all, "that fancy computer stuff."

All you'd need to do would be to provide a PDF scan of the sheet, or sheets, and I can't imagine that would be a problem for a resourceful chap like yourself.

Cheers,
Lurk

The March issue just arrived here in The Netherlands. Only it doesn't say March on the cover or anywhere inside! Just 'Issue no. 1066'.

I noticed that too, it smacks of a 'cunning plan' . No more 2 month delay  8)  Good idea I think

And I'm still waiting for my copy thanks to the stunningly, deliberately, shoddy service of Royal Mail.  It might turn up by the end of next week.

Oooh, does this mean there's an article on the aerodynamics of arrows and the advisibility of protective eye-wear in an arrow dense environment?

Nope, it's the magazine projecting the government message and introducing a sub 100 g free flight concept that has the co-benefit of being health and safety and environmentally compliant. They suggest grants will be made available for those that can demonstrate need.

Perhaps an article recently excavated from the Hastings church on the aerodynamics of different types of feather? With a build of a superior R/C electric powered arrow?

Having, finally, received my copy I think it's good old fashioned cock-up rather than conspiracy.

They have changed the issue banner slightly, but it's also been shunted up the page from where it used to live and it looks to me as if the thumbnail for the free plan has been laid over it.

Checking with Colin and he says that the material he sent did have "March" in the legend.

... but the technique is also used in the online version of the April edition.. sorry next issue (1067)

Either way it must make life a lot easy with stocking it in newsagents

Am I the only one who's actually made a 1:1 scale model of that history-changing arrow? (This was for a family fancy-dress shindig back in 2022.)

Do you think haro0ld would have stopped smiling with an arrow in the other eye as well? ;D
